Travel CVOR Registered Nurse | Greensboro, North Carolina New

An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) expertise to provide critical care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This travel nursing position demands a high level of specialization in open heart surgery, as well as experience with advanced cardiovascular devices and procedures. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in a range of complex cardiac surgeries and intraoperative care techniques, ensuring optimal outcomes for patients undergoing high-risk operations.

Location:The assignment is located in Greensboro, North Carolina, a vibrant city known for its rich history, diverse culture, and strong healthcare community. Schedule & Hours

• Four 10-hour day shifts, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Call required, with a non-negotiable 30-minute response time
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care during cardiovascular surgeries, including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), valve replacements and repairs, aortic dissections, pericardial window procedures, thoracotomies, and Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
• Manage advanced cardiovascular support devices such as ECMO, LVAD, and Impella systems
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with surgical scrubbing as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams to anticipate and respond to intraoperative needs
• Comply with all hospital policies including punctuality and attendance standards
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid RN license with Cardiovascular Operating Room specialization
• Open heart surgery experience mandatory
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices
• Experience with robotic-assisted chest surgeries preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers must possess open heart OR experience
• Ability to pass a mandatory Pass/Fail EKG exam
