It is with great pride we share Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC was 1 out of 28 hospitals nationwide to be awarded the Lantern Award!! Congratulations on all your hard work! The award recognizes emergency departments that demonstrate excellent practice and innovative performance through leadership, education, advocacy and research. EDs are encouraged to share their stories which highlight their commitment to care of patients, as well as the well-being of nursing staff. Initiatives to reduce the number of injuries from falls, improve patient satisfaction scores and streamline the approach to stroke alerts are a few of the examples Lantern recipients shared in their applications which were reviewed by ENA’s Lantern Award Committee.
“It is exciting that 28 emergency departments achieved this prestigious ENA Lantern Award recognition,” said ENA President Patti Kunz Howard, PhD, RN, CEN, CPEN, TCRN, NE-BC, FAEN, FAAN. “This award validates the exemplary care they provide to each patient, their families and their colleagues.”
