Donations for ENCare 2024

NCENA, in partnership with the Foundation for Peace, is sending a team of 18 nurses and volunteers to the Dominican Republic this October to provide medical clinics to the local, underserved population.

This year, we would like to focus our donation request on family hygiene kits for the patients we'll be seeing.  We anticipate the need for 250-300 family kits as we are likely to treat over 1000 patients this trip!

Ideally, we are asking for complete family hygiene kits, packaged in a large ziploc bag, that include:
- 1 washcloth
- bar soap (1 full size or 3 hotel size)
- toothpaste (1 full size or 3 travel size)
- 5 toothbrushes (adult preferred)

If you cannot provide all items, we're happy to accept individual items and can build the kits when we get down there.  Any monetary donations received will be used to purchase hygiene kit items.

We will be accepting these hygiene kits and items at the following events:
- August General Assembly Meeting, August 16 - Raleigh, NC
- ENA General Assembly, September 3-4, Las Vegas, NV
**If you're not able to attend these events, check with your local chapter leaders to see if they can turn in your donations for you or contact the POC below for other potential options.**

While our preference this year is the hygiene kits, we can accept donations of non-expired, unopened OTC medications including pain relievers, multivitamins (**NO GUMMIES -- THEY WILL MELT**), antifungal creams, antibiotic lotions, cough/cold medicines, etc for both adults and kids.
